PSX turns around, gains 296 points 

ISLAMABAD - The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) tuned around on Wednesday and witnessed bullish trend, gaining 296.76 points, with a positive change of 0.66 percent, closing at 45369.14 points against 45072.38 points on the last working day. A total of 241,069,850 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 411,465,648 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs9.224 billion against Rs34.823 billion the previous day. As many as 337 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 209 of them recorded gain and 108 sustained losses whereas the share price of 20 companies remained unchanged. The three top trading companies were Fauji Foods Ltd with a volume of 38,342,500 shares and price per share of Rs11.02, Fauji Foods (R ) with a volume of 37,065,500 and price per share of Rs0.69 and TPL Properties XB with volume of 14,855,500 and price per share of Rs43.48. Rafhan Maize witnessed a maximum increase of Rs161.37 per share, closing at Rs9899 whereas the runner up was Nestle Pakistan, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs131.36 to Rs5521.54. Saphhire Tex witnessed maximum decrease of Rs86.32 closing Rs1064.75 followed by Sapphire Fiber, the share price of which declined by Rs52.75 to close at Rs845.25.
