LAHORE - Defending champions Wapda and Army have brightened their chances for the semifinals of the Engro 52nd National Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship by winning their two matches each in the quarterfinal stage, being played on league basis at the Punjab Sports’ Gymnasium Hall here on Wednesday. Wapda crushed Railways 3-0 with the score being 25-15, 25-11, 25-19. Earlier, Wapda routed KPK 3-0, 25-20, 25-20, 25-18. Army thrashed HEC 25-18, 25-15, 25-12. Earlier, Army had also won its first match of the quarterfinal stage beating Punjab 3-0. Navy beat HEC 3-1, 25-13, 25-14, 24-26, 25-18.
