JI shows solidarity with Kashmiris, Palestinians

KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Naib Professor Ghafoor Ahmed has said that without resolving the Kashmir dispute, the dream of peace in South Asia will not possible. He said that the freedom movement in Kashmir was in progress despite the brutality of Indian Army, adding that the day was not far when the Kashmir would be free from cruel clutches of Indian occupation. He was addressing the press conference at JI Karachi office on Sunday in the connection of the February 5th day to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine. He criticised the duel standards of West saying that they did not want that the oppressed people would get their rights. JI Sindh Chief Maulana Asadullah Bhutto, JI Karachi chief Mohammad Hussain Mehanti and Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman were present on the occasion. He said that Kashmiri people were foiled the Indian conspiracy to break the Hurriyat Conference adding the UN resolution on Kashmir was the only solution of Kashmir dispute and the people of Kashmir would not accept any other option. He also criticised the Israel aggression on Palestinian People at Gaza saying that the US and the West also had supported the killings of Palestinian people by Israel. Ghafoor Ahmed denounced the role of United Nation adding that the UN had become the protector of the world power goals. Despite the besieged of Gaza the struggle of Palestinian people are still continued and Zionist State Israel should face the defeat in the Gaza like the Lebanon, he added. On the occasion, JI Karachi chief Mohammad Husssain Mehanti has demanded that government should review its Kashmir policy. He announced the JI would observe "solidarity week' with the people of Kashmir and Palestine on the directives of Party chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed and from the day to February 5th and the rallies would be staged around the country on Feb 5 to express solidarity with Kashmiris and Palestinian. He said that during the 'solidarity week' JI would hold the seminar on February 2nd, APC on February 3rd, women rally on February 4th and Solidarity with the people of Palestine and Kashmiri people will carry out on February 5th from Jail Chowrangi to Mazar-e-Quaid. He termed that the Palestine and Kashmir were the flash point in the region saying that the peace activities resolving the dispute of Kashmir and Palestine were sabotaged by the India and Israel respectively.
