RAWALPINDI - To express solidarity with Palestinians, the students of Quaid-e-Azam and Fatima Jinnah Women Universities on Sunday jointly organised an exhibition of pictures depicting Israeli brutality in Gaza Strip here at Nawaz Sahrif Park near Faizabad. On this occasion, some 150 portraits, depicting wounded infants, innocent children, women and destroyed infrastructures were put on display and the varsities' students briefed the visitors. The exhibition also included anti-occupation and political posters inscribed with the stories of struggle of Hamas and Palestinians against Israel, the history of Palestinian movement and the current situation in Gaza. Scores of visitors including students belonging to twin cities institutions, visited the exhibition. Denouncing the atrocious attacks on Gaza, visitors expressed their grief and sorrow over the situation by writing their remarks on a 200 meter long banner. "We arranged the exhibition to make aware of the common person about the bloodshed in Gaza and to expose Israeli atrocities, especially, on innocent children and women," said Marryum Qurashi the organiser and student of FJWU told. Visitors strongly condemned the brutal act of Israel, "the Muslin world have resources, what we need is unity, through unity we can confront all the challenges and conspiracies against Muslin Ummah," said Muhammad Younis a student of Islamic University. Urging the nation to boycott Israeli products, the students pasted a list of its products they also demanded of the present government to help Palestinians financially. Hundreds of visitors wrote their views against Israel on a 200-meter long piece of cloth.
