Funds being channelised for uniform uplift: PM




ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that government was effectively channelising funds through Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for uniform uplift of various segment of the society.
He was talking to parliamentarians who called on him separately at the PM’s House Friday afternoon.
The Prime Minister said that annual development plan had been prepared keeping in view the issues of the common man and provision of vital infrastructure in the country. He said that public representatives had been actively involved in all phases of development agenda of the government which is well being of the people.
The Prime Minister urged the parliamentarians to personally monitor and supervise the development projects in their respective areas so that quality of work as well as their timely completion is ensured. He said that government would provide all necessary funds for the projects, which have direct bearings on me common man.
The Prime Minister further emphasised sensitising the public about the development projects undertaken by the government.
“We have now set a tradition of serving the people by allocating record public funds for welfare projects. It well now put pressure on successive government to continue with this tradition.” said the Prime Minister.
The parliamentarians apprised the Prime Minister of issues of people in their respective constituencies. They also briefed him about the progress on the ongoing development schemes in their respective areas.
Those who called on the Prime Minister included Mr. Khursheed Shah, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Salim Haider Khan, Minister for State for Defence and MNAs, Ms. Natasha Daultana, Arif Aziz Shaikh, Tariq Shabbir Mayo, Ch. Iftikhar Nazir, Syed Inayat Ali Shah, Ch. Tassadaq Masud Khan, Mehmood Hayat Khan alias Tochi Khan and Engineer Usman Khan Tarakai.
