MULTAN - Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has decided to file review petition against his disqualification by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, reported a private TV channel on Friday night, quoting its sources.

According to the channel, the former prime minister would personally appear before the apex court to file the review petition. As per the sources, Gilani was was consulting legal experts over the issue and would challenge his conviction very soon.

The former premier was sent packing for not complying with the orders of the Supreme Court, directing him to write a letter to Swiss authorities for reopening graft case against President Asif Ali Zardari.

However, Yousuf Raza Gilani’s successor Raja Pervaiz Ashraf had written the same letter after the court issued him contempt notice.
