PCG seizes huge quantity of narcotics


KARACHI  - Pakistan Coast Guards seized huge quantities of hashish from Naka Khari Check Post near Winder (Balochistan) on RCD Highway in the past few days. A PCG statement here on Friday said that the seizure has been made on information from intelligence resources about the smuggling of narcotics through RCD Highway. It said that a special Mobile Patrol was constituted for snap checking in the area for this purpose and different passenger buses heading from Quetta to Karachi were stopped for checking. During the search process, PCG officials recovered approximately 50 kilograms of hashish from various passengers and unclaimed baggage of different buses. The PCG statement said that the suspected passengers were taken into custody for further investigation. After recovery of narcotics, the buses were released being the public carrier.All suspected drug traffickers were handed over to police after initial investigation, the statement added.
