ISLAMABAD  – In order to restore the beauty of Lake View Park, Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started repair work in the park at the cost of Rs1 million.

In the first phase, CDA Environment Directorate has released Rs1 million for repair toilets, benches, and damaged shelters of the park.

Most of the recreational places in the federal capital have been in a shambles due to shortage of funds and financial crunch being experienced by capital civic body.

Sources said that Environment Directorate has released Rs1 million for repair work in the park for the first time after five years since it was established. However, complete repair work was estimated at Rs10 million.

The CDA officials said that remaining work would be carried out after release of funds for the purpose.
