Bandits took away 150 tolas of gold, Rs400,000, a gun and other valuables from the house a ruling MPA here on Monday.

The incident occurred in the house of PML-N MNA and parliamentary secretary Haji Akram Ansari situated in Raja Chowk Ghulam Muhammadabad in the morning.

The police said that three armed bandits forced their entry in the house of MNA Ansari early in the morning. The bandits collected gold ornaments, cash and other valuables.

In the meanwhile, driver of the MNA tried to enter the house but no one opened the door. At which people of the area gathered outside the house. However, the bandits managed to flee the scene under the cover of aerial firing. On information, the police high-ups reached the spot and launched a search for the bandits. The Ghulam Muhammadabad Police have registered a case against unidentified bandits without any clue or arrest till filling of this report.
