LAHORE: Families thronged Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre’s second annual family festival “Fitness Fiesta”, says a press release.

This year's event was also a huge success for the hospital, with a huge participation from all walks of life. The resounding success shows the public growing awareness of a healthy lifestyle as well as the commitment to the hospital’s cause.

The visitors enjoyed the activities set out for the day event especially the food stalls by Khalis Food Market and the 180 degrees boot camp.

People took keen interest in locally grown fresh produce, dairy products; fitness corner with activities including Boot Camp, Pro-Fit, and yoga sessions for people of all age groups.

Free health and fitness consultations were also offered to visitors, allowing them to check their BMI, blood pressure, sugar level and nutritional consultations. Talking at the occasion, CEO of the hospital, Dr Faisal Sultan said, activities like this festival where one can learn about healthy lifestyle, are very important for our busy lives, as we seldom give attention to ourselves.

Looking at this year's participation the hospital has planned on increasing the area for next festival so that there are more activities and more features to aware people about their health while having fun and enjoyment.
