The CIA Ferozewala Police claimed to have seized heroin and hashish worth Rs40 million. The police also arrested six drug traffickers including a woman here on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the CIA police unearthed seven hideouts of the drug traffickers. The police also arrested six drug traffickers including a woman and recovered 11 kg of heroin and 3.5 kg of hashish from their possession. According to the police, value of the seized drugs will be more than Rs40 million in the international market.

The arrested traffickers were identified as Muzaffar, his wife Nasreen, Sajid, Shahzad, Irfan, Arshad and Mansha. The police have registered cases against them and started further investigation.

MAN ROBBED: A filling station owner namely Shah Jahan was deprived of Rs0.9 million by two unidentified highwaymen near Khanqah Dogran on Monday. He collected the cash and was on the way to bank in his car when two highwaymen, riding a bike intercepted him.–Staff Reporter

They snatched the cash from him and fled away. The culprits also tortured him when he put up resistance.
