SIALKOT

Former AJK prime minister Sardar Attique Ahmed urged all the political parties both in the AJK and Pakistan to get united for strengthening Kashmir cause further.

“It is time for all the political parties to show unity for the peaceful solution to the burning issue of Kashmir, which has now become a flash point between the two nuclear neighbours.”

He was talking to the newsmen at Sialkot Press Club here on Monday.

Sardar Attique emphasised that the world should now wake up to stop the 65-year-long terrorism by the occupied Indian army in the Held Kashmir. “Indian terrorism has pushed the entire subcontinent... rather South Asia... to the brink of a nuclear war and the world should rise to the challenge by getting stopped the brutal terrorism,” he pointed out.

He also expressed grave concern over the larger scale human rights violations, custodial killings and genocide of the innocent Kashmiri people by the occupied Indian army in the Held Valley. The ex-AJK PM stressed the need for better relationship between the two nuclear neighbours - Pakistan and India -for the peaceful future of the South Asia. However, the dream of better relations between the archrival can never be materialised without early peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of people of Kashmir.

The former AJK PM declared, “We salute Pakistan Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif for taking a bold stance on the Kashmir issue,” saying that it reflects the wishes of Kashmiris.

Lashing out at the federal government and the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, the former AJK premier alleged that they are using all the national resources to win loyalties of the sitting members of the AJK Legislative Assembly and other political parties ahead of the AJK elections scheduled to be held in June 2016.

He warned that the elements working to weaken the Muslim Conference would face dire consequences. He vowed to foil every conspiracy to weaken the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference being hatched by the federal government.

Replying to a question about the forthcoming AJK general elections, he demanded that the AJK government should appoint a full-time Chief Election Commissioner in the state besides, demanding early verification of the voters’ lists through Nadra.

Later, while addressing a meeting of the lawyers community at Sialkot District Bar Association (DBA), Sardar Attique urged the international community to use its influence for early peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of the people of the Kashmir.

He also urged the UNO to ensure early implementation of its resolutions for the solution to Kashmir dispute.

Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, who is also President of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, urged the Pakistani government to adopt a clear and solid policy regarding the Kashmir dispute with India. He said that India wants to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council but this country (India) has now itself become a security risk.

He alleged that India had ruined the peace of the entire South Asia. He said India has no right to be a permanent member of UN Security Council.

Sardar Attiq Ahmed Khan revealed that sacrifices rendered by hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris would soon bear fruit in shape of freedom of Kashmir from Indian yoke.

Meanwhile, addressing a largely attended convention of the party workers at Sialkot, the ex-AJK PM said that there would be no compromise on Kashmir cause with anyone, however, the number of graves of the Kashmiri Mujahideen could be increased in this regard. He said that the Kashmir is among the two atomic powers thus the world community would have to ensure early peaceful solution to the issue, which has now become vital for sustainable peace in the subcontinent.

He said that Kashmiri Mujahideen’s one generation was there in graves, one generation is in Indian jails and third generation is protesting on roads against Indian mounting atrocities in Held Valley.
