PESHAWAR/CHARSADDA -  The KP police on Thursday arrested two persons for allegedly attempting to rape a 15-year-old girl at her house within the jurisdiction of Prang police station.

The victim girl father lodged a complaint with the local police that two men, identified as Azam and Wasif, broke into their house through rooftop in broad daylight while his daughter was alone and attempted to rape her.  He said, however, the earthquake forced the culprits to flee the house.

Talking to The Nation, District Police Officer Zahoor Afridi said that the police succeeded in the arrest of both the accused persons.

He said that one of the accused people was arrested from nearby locality while the second accuse was arrested from Tarnab area of Charsadda.

Prang police registered a case against the suspect and launched a search operation to arrest him. Police said the accuse track record as a thug and arrested on charges of attempting rape on a minor.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation Nazir Khan told to media that the victim girl’s medical report is cleared and she is in stable condition.

He said to keep the sensitivity of crime IG KP directed to Charsadda Police to immediately arrest the culprit within 24 hours, and police succeed.

The SP investigation said the perpetrator has been charged under the PPC- 375, 452, 345, 511, 34 and 50 which means they could face life imprisonment.

It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person took advantage of the absence male members of the family in the house as the girls have seven sisters and have no bother.
