ISLAMABAD  - A total of 18 government officials including federal secretaries, chairman Federal Board of Revenue and inspectors general of police of Sindh and Balochistan, besides Motorways, would be retiring in the current year after reaching their ages of superannuation.

According to details, the process will commence with retirement of secretary privatisation division Shahid Hussain Raja who is being retired on Monday (today).

Extension was granted to secretaries elections commission and cabinet division and their services are placed under the Senate secretariat.

According to Establishment Division record, the BPS-22 secretaries who will be leaving their offices include: Ghulam Rasool Afan secretary national regulations and services on February 28, Salman Bashir secretary foreign affairs on March 3, Shaukat Hayat Durrani secretary religious affairs on March 26, major retired Khawaja Muhmmmad Naeem secretary Federal Ombudsman secretariat on March 30, Saeed Ahmed Khan secretary IT and telecom on April 3, Saeed Ahmed Alvi secretary human rights division on April 28,  Masood Chishti secretary law and justice division on June 10, Asif Bajwah secretary statistics division on July 3, Inamullah Khan secretary federal tax ombudsman secretariat on August 21,  Aziz Ahmed Bilour secretary industries on August 22, Sarwar Qazalbash secretary ports and shipping on September 17, Aneesul Hasnain Moosvi secretary of interfaith harmony on November 2, Abdul Wajid Rana secretary economic affairs on November 5, Raja Muhammad Ikramul Haq secretary postal services division on September 1, while from secretariat group the top official including Salman Siddique chairman FBR would be retiring on January 21, Sarshar Ahmed Khan special finance secretary (military) on March 24, and special secretary finance division Asad Amin would be retiring on April 8.

Among the police group IG Sindh (BPS-21) Mushtaq Ahmed Shah would retire on July 7, IG Balochistan Amin Hashim on May 9 and IG Motorways Wajid Ali Durrani on May 25.

The retired officer from secretariat group, Salman Farooqui, has been serving as secretary general to President, while from police group Malik Asif Hayat has been serving as secretary in the President’s House.

The service tenure of secretary National Assembly Kiramat Hussain Niazi is not fixed and since 2007, he has been serving on this post.
