LAHORE - Commuters had to suffer due to shortage of public transport as all the CNG stations across Punjab remained closed on Sunday to protest against hike in gas price and loadshedding.

Roads in different cities of Punjab presented a deserted look due to the absence of public transport and movement of private vehicles also remained low due to closure of CNG stations. It should be mentioned that on call of CNG Association, CNG stations in most cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Gujranwala, Rahimyar Khan and Rawalpindi stopped gas filling on Sunday.

Talking to media persons, President of CNG Association Gahays Paracha said that CNG price hike will not only affect the business but will also deprive the public of cheap fuel.

He urged the authorities to review the gas price hike which was hurting both public and commercial activities.
