LAHORE – Dozens of residents of Katcha Ferozpur Road met here on Sunday at the residence of Malik Muhammad Amjad and appealed to the SNGPL Chairman and WASA Managing director to ensure gas and water supply to the locality. They said the locality was without gas for the last several days, and in case it comes the pressure is very low. Similarly, there is acute shortage of water, because of which people don’t have enough water even to perform ablution.

The participants said they would wait for a few days to have their grievance redressed. In case the SNGPL and WASA authorities remained unmoved, they would block the Ferozepur Road and interrupt traffic till the needful was done. The meeting was attended by Mohammad Wajid, Khawaja Majid Naseem, Kafaytullah, Sheikh Muhammad Idrees, Sheikh Abid, Afzaal Butt, Mohammad Tahir, Naeem Akhtar, Saleem Akhtar, Saeed Butt, Shariq Mirza, Qaiser Mehmood, Wahid Husain, Khursheed Bhatti, Amjad Mehmood, M Munir, Mohammad Jahangir, Riaz Ahmed, Abid Rasheed Qureshi, Abdul Ghani and others.

They said the residents are forced to use substandard gas cylinders because of non-availability of gas, as a result of which they were risking the lives of their families.
