LAHORE – Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Zakia Shahnwaz has said that Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital enjoyed international reputation in the fields of neuro treatment and promotion of medical education. Those students who get admission to medical college affiliated with LGH would have very bight future ahead as they were taught by very experienced and expert faculty.

Addressing the doctors getting training at Medical Unit I, she said that doctors from PGMI were rendering services both at national and international organisations as specialists and teachers. PGMI Principal and LGH Prof Tariq Salah-ud-Din and Prof Ghayas-un-Nabi Tayyab were also present.

Tariq Salah-ud-Din said that expertise in usage of modern medical equipment was need of the hour and PGMI was focused to provide all possible facilities in these areas. He said that development work at LGH was underway and its Phase three consisting operation theater and private rooms was being constructed rapidly. Moreover the construction of Dead House was also underway, he told. He said that the establishment of Institute of Nureo Sciences at LGH would go a long way to solve nureo related problems and research.
