LAHORE - PTI, which is focusing on the support of the youth, has constituted a committee to gather the data of young people in Punjab in a bid to muster their support for the next elections.

The PTI has also announced that it will not join hands with former dictator Pervez Musharraf, as it is party of the masses and believes solely in serving the interests of the people. The announcement regarding constituting the committee came at ‘Azam Inqalab Convention’ of the PTI on Sunday. Prominent among the PTI leaders who attended the convention include Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri, Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali, Hamid Khan, Justice (r) Wajih-ud-Din, Umer Cheema, Barrister Hammad Azhar, Ahsan Rasheed, Saloni Bukhari and Ishtiaq Malik.

Speaking on this occasion, PTI leaders claimed that Imran Khan’s struggle for change had proved that PTI was not a party of establishment like PML-N, PML-Q and PML-J.

They maintained that the PTI was not the party of ‘remnants of Musharraf’ and the major political figures might not ask the PTI to include them in the party if they were not popular. They accused Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif of joining hands to protect each other’s interests said that Pakistan did not need the financial assistance if 100 billion dollars of these politicians lying in the foreign banks would bring back to the country.

The PTI leaders warned that they would launch a merciless accountability drive against the PML-N, PPP, PML-Q and other political parties. They claimed that 2012 belongs to PTI, as the wave of change had entered Asia and no fake public moot could stop the masses for sending Imran Khan to power to change their life. They maintained that PTI had revolted against the dynastic political trends and asked the youth to support the party for bringing a change in the country like they did during the freedom struggle of Pakistan by backing Quaid-i-Azam. They claimed that 60 percent of the party organisation consists of the youth and they would always be the driving force of the PTI. The PTI leaders said that they would impose education and health emergency to provide the masses with the most basic amenities of the life.

On this occasion, Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri while rejecting the reports regarding meeting with Pervez Musharraf in Dubai on party instructions said that he met with Musharraf at a marriage ceremony in Dubai, which was attended by several other Pakistanis.

He added that some people were spreading rumours against him, however the party leadership knows about his intentions and the conspirators would not succeed in their evil designs against him.
