CHARSADDA - Three teachers of a government primary school sustained critical injuries when unknown armed motorcyclists opened indiscriminate firing at them in Charsadda district yesterday.

According to details, two unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened firing at the teachers of the Government Primary School Bosakhel near GTS Mor when they were on way back to their homes after attending the school.

Resultantly, three teachers who were identified as Mohammad Adil Khan, Zahir Shah and Sahib Gul sustained multiple wounds in the attack. The attackers who are stated to be target killers escaped the scene after committing the crime.

The injured teachers were rushed to the District Headquarter Hospital Charsadda. However, two of them Mohammad Adil Khan and Sahib Gul were referred to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar due to their precarious condition.

The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Parang police station, where police registered an FIR against unknown attackers. Soon after the incident, police launched a search operation in the area, however, no arrest was made.

All Teachers Council District Charsadda Chairman Sarfaraz Khan has strongly condemned the attack on school teachers and demanded the provincial government to arrest the culprits immediately and ensure protection to teachers.
