TARBELA GHAZI - Doctors have called off the strike against insulting behaviour of Deputy Commissioner with doctor on assurance of redressal of their grievances after a meeting with Commissioner Hazara.
Reportedly some days Deputy Commissioner Haripur misbehaved with a doctor of District Head Quarter Hospital Haripur Dr Muhammad Irshad Yousaf during his visit to the DHQ hospital.
Paramedical staff of the hospital protested and went on strike against the behaviour of deputy commissioner. A delegation headed by President Doctor Association Dr Husnain Raza Turabi and comprising Medical Superintendent Dr Kaim Khan Wazir, Dr Sarfraz Khan, Dr Irshad Yousaf and others called on Commissioner Hazara Akbar Khan in Abbottabad.
They informed Commissioner Hazara Akbar Khan about the whole incident.
The delegation said that the such kind of incidents create issues between the district administration and paramedical staff, which directly put bad impact on the general public and patients.
A policy should be chalked out at governmental level for prevention of such incidents, they said.
Later while addressing the press conference, President Doctors Association Dr Husnain Raza Turabi said that Commissioner Hazara ordered a judicial enquiry to probe the facts. Dr Husnain Raza Turabi told that Commissioner Hazara also assured for taking concrete steps to avoid such incidents in future.
