The personnel of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and other intelligence agencies recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) and a hand grenade from an outhouse of Chak 301/GB on Friday.

A police official disclosed that on December 16 last year, the CTD staff had arrested Hammad Ghalib and his cousin Arbaz from a locality near District Jail on a tip-off and recovered a cassette which contained a song against armed forces.

The CTD had registered a case against both the accused. During investigation, they revealed that they had hidden under the earth, the device and hand grenade at their outhouse in village Chak 301/GB.
