PESHAWAR - Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four human smugglers in various raids and recovered passports and documents from their possession.

Sources said that in the wake of growing incidents of human smuggling, the authorities of Federal Investigation Agency launched crackdown in various area of Peshawar and Mardan and arrested four persons along with illegal documents.

The arrested persons were identified as Fida Hussain, Muhammad Ishaq, Iftikhar-ul-Haq and Abid Ali.

The accused persons were illegally sending people to Turkey via Iran.

Another raid was carried out in Mardan where an alleged accused Muhtaram Shah was arrested.

Due to increasing number of travel agencies without proper licenses, incident of human smuggling are increasing with each passing day and dozens of operators have been arrested.
