SARGODHA-The Young Doctors Association condemned the dismissal of 25 doctors from Sargodha University Medical College and demanded their early reinstatement.

The YDA office-bearers gave 48 hours deadline to the UoS administration for the restoration of those doctors. In a press conference held on Monday, the YDA condemned the step taken in the university syndicate's meeting against 25 junior and senior doctors.

They had been performing their duties in medical college for six to 10 years. It termed syndicate meeting illegal. They said that the university administration had behaved like a stepmother with the medical college. They demanded restoration of the affected doctors immediately otherwise it would observe strike in District Headquarter Teaching Hospital.

A sit-in was also be held outside University of Sargodha. The YDA members chanted slogans against the VC and asked the Governor of Punjab for taking stern action over the situation.

BODY FOUND: A family strangled 19-year-old married girl for honour and buried her in the courtyard of their house 21 days ago.

Police exhumed the body and also filed a case against six accused including her father, maternal uncle and husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law.

Police said that Maqadas Bibi of village Kot Pehlwan had been married to Asif six months ago. But she soon came back at her parental house due to estrangement with her husband. She denied reconciliation and going with her husband. Her family had suspected her of having illicit relations with a youth. As a result, they killed and buried her body in the courtyard of house.

The police arrested her father Sher, maternal uncle Ghulam Abbas, father-in-law Haq Nawaz, mother-in-law Marriam and husband Asif and filed murder case against them. Police added that during investigation her father had confessed to their crime.
