Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) senior representative and former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal said that in the general election of 2022, PML-N will establish govt and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will return back to the country.
He said this while addressing a press conference today. He added that in the meetings of cabinet, nothing else than how to ensure accountability of PML-N leaders is discussed. He said that the government is not interested in solving public’s problems.
The public along with the farmers across country are distressed over the ever rising inflation. He further said that it is time of Imran Khan’s return.
Ahsan Iqbal said that the mini-budget has further brought unbearable taxes of Rs350 billion to the already struggling public.
Earlier in December 2021, Ahsan Iqbal had said that the news of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s return has deprived the rulers of their sleep.
Addressing a function in Lahore, he had said that Pakistan was surrounded by major crises and Pakistan would not have been made if Pakistan Tehreek was based on self-interest but thousands of workers selflessly sacrificed for Pakistan.
Regarding country’s political situation, the PML-N senior leader had mentioned that talks were underway between the opposition and the government and the Election Commission will play an important role in the local body and general elections.
Iqbal went on to say that the government should complete the talks as soon as possible so that appointments can be made with consensus and the opposition will not create any deadlock. The posts are vacant as the prime minister has not spoken to Shehbaz Sharif.
