LAHORE - The Athletics Federation of Pakistan has formed a five-member committee to decide the dope case of the two athletes who were tested positive for banned drug. The two Pakistan athletes Muhammad Shah and Ms. Noshee Parveen who were to represent in the coming Beijing Olympics tested positive for the banned substance. The AFP constituted a committee comprising Lt Col (R) Muhammad Yayha, associate secretary general NOC Pakistan as chairman while Dr. Waqar Ahmed, Director Sports Medicine Pakistan Sports Board, Dr. Maj. (R) Lubna Sibtain, Member POA Medical and Scientific Commission, Wg Cdr. Farooq Bukhari, Director PAF Sports Control Committee, Maj. Mahmood Riaz, Manager Army athletics team as members of the committee. The meeting of the committee will be held in the office of Lt Col (R) Muhammad Yahya at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad on July 10 at 11 hours to hear Muhammad Shah and Ms. Noshee. The committee will finalise its findings and recommendations for submission to the IAAF Anti-Doping Administrator Dr Gabriel Dolle by Athletics Federation of Pakistan.
