ISLAMABAD (Online) - Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Swat Taliban leader Maulana Fazlullah has been seriously injured in the operation launched against militants in Swat. In an interview to the BBC on Wednesday, Malik said that the so-called leaders of the militants were in hiding but will be taken out of their hiding places. We need help from the world and will probe, who is providing money and arms to Taliban, he said. He said the terrorists hiding in South Waziristan were making plans for terror attacks. Replying to a question, Malik said that action against Baitullah Mehsud and his associates is getting impetus day by day however grouping of Taliban is not a new thing. He said Gull Bahudur, Commander Nazir, Qari Hussain, Baitullah and even Hakeem Ullah are undoubtedly branches of the same tree. He termed all of them as hardcore terrorists and their name is not Taliban but Zaliman. He stressed that these Zaliman are present in South Waziristan since long and chalk out strategies there. Fazalullah is with them, he held. Malik said that they are enemies of Pakistanis, as they dont want the country to flourish and sell themselves for few pennies. He further added that government is taking gigantic steps to wipe out militancy, hoping that new US administration will support Pakistan. Fruitful talks with US can result in obtaining drone technology and thus we can use it ourselves to counter all kinds of threats, he added.
