DSP dismissed

LAHORE - Inspector General Punjab Police Tariq Saleem Dogar on Thursday has awarded major punishment of dismissal from service to DSP Daud Husnain Abbas Kabirwala, District Khanewal on proving the charges of corruption and abuse of power. The order has been issued by the IGP in light of the enquiry conducted against the said police officer on public complaints of corruption and abuse of power. On which, the then SP investigation Sahiwal Dr Mohammad Rizwan was appointed enquiry officer to probe the matter. The enquiry officer in his report said DSP guilty and recommended strict disciplinary action against him. The accused DSP was given show cause notice. He appeared in the orderly room but could not give any satisfactory explanation in his defence. On proving the charges of corruption and abuse of power, the IG awarded major punishment of dismissal from service to the DSP Daud Husnain Abbas, with immediate effect.
