LAHORE - The local commission appointed by the Lahore High Court on a petition earlier filed to question membership of former President of Pakistan Farooq Ahmad Leghari as MNA, has called the latter on July 3 for recording his evidence. The petition has been filed by Hafiz Abdul Karim on which the court had appointed Justice (r) Karamat Nazir Bhandari as local commission for recording evidence of the parties. The petitioner last day submitted certified copies of the proofs of alleged rigging by the respondent in the election. The petitioner also alleged that the respondent used force to get votes cast in his favour apart from creating harassment among the voters on the elections day. On the basis of these allegations, he sought disqualification of Leghari as member of the national assembly.
