KARACHI - Three workers of Sunni Tehreek among eight people were gunned down in various violent incidents here on Monday.  A man was sitting outside his residence in Sector 5/F, New Karachi when the incident took place.  Police said that Junaid Qadri, 20, were targeted by some unidentified armed motorcyclists and fled. In another similar incident of target killing, Aslam Qadri aka Dumba was shot dead at Sector 11/F, within the same police jurisdictions. Both the workers were affiliated with Sunni Tehreek. They were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced their deaths. Police registered cases against the assailants.

Another ST worker was gunned down at Baldia Town-2 within the jurisdiction of Baldia police station. Police said that Farooq Qadri was on way to his workplace when pillion riders shot him dead and escaped. Police handed over the body to family after autopsy and registered a case against unidentified gunmen. On the other side, Kalri Police found a shot dead tortured body from Dua Hotel, Agra Taj locality. Police shifted the body to morgue for identification after autopsy. Another man was shot dead within the jurisdiction of Baghdadi police station. Police said that the victim Zubari Orangzaib was a rickshaw driver.

Shahrah-e-Noorjahan Police found a shot dead body of a man near form Shaheen Hotel, Kati Pahari and shifted the body to hospital. The body was shifted to morgue where he was identified as Irfan aka Kawa. Police said the victim was involved in criminal activities and his accomplices killed him over personal dispute.

Another shot dead body was found near Indus Plaza within the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth police station. Police said that the victim was shifted to morgue after autopsy where he was identified as Javaid Essa. Another shot dead body was found from football ground within the jurisdiction of Khorapar police station. Police said that the victim was the resident of Orangi Town. Police found a licensed pistol from his possession. The body was handed over to family after autopsy.
