QUETTA - At least four people including three labourers were killed in Naseerabad and Jaffarabad, while unidentified people kidnapped a government official and attacked a container in Quetta, on Monday.According to police, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a group of labourers in Khan Kot area of Naseerabad district. Resultantly, three labourers were killed and four others sustained injuries. “The labourers were sleeping after daylong work when armed men on motorbikes targeted them,” a police official said.Police and rescue workers rushed to the site after the incident and shifted the dead and injured to hospital where the deceased were identified as Noor Muhammad, Jabbar and Gul Muhammad while injured as Madad Ali, Khadim Hussain and Habibullah. No group claimed responsibility of the attack so far.In Jaffarabad, on a tip-off police recovered a body from Dera Allayar Bypass and shifted it to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Abdullah. Police said the deceased, who belonged to Karachi, was tortured to death as various marks of torture were visible on his body.In anther incident, armed men kidnapped a Section Officer of Home Department from Sariab Road, Quetta. Police said that Syed Manzoor Shah Bukhari was heading towards Sariab Mill for purchasing edibles early in the morning when four armed men intercepted him and bundled him into the car before fleeing from the area. A case has been registered against unidentified kidnappers; however, nobody has claimed responsibility for his kidnapping. Separately, unidentified armed men attacked a container which was heading towards Quetta from Karachi. The incident occurred at Bakhtiarabad, in the outskirts of Quetta. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
