BOSTON, US: Pixies have announced a new UK tour. The band announced the dates on their official website Tuesday, as well as the replacement of Kim Deal with Kim Shattuck. “Please welcome Kim Shattuck,” said the group. “Kim will be playing bass guitar / backing vocals on the upcoming tour announced today (Monday).” They added: “You may know Kim from LA band The Muffs and previously from The Pandoras. We are delighted that she will be joining us on stage.” The UK and European dates are being billed as the first leg of an “extensive world tour.”–DS
