KHANEWAL-Newly-posted Khanewal DPO Rana Ayyaz Saleem pledged that resolution of police-related problems being faced by the masses and dispensation of speedy justice to the needy people will be his top most priority. He vowed to reach to people in distress and keep his doors opened for anyone want to approach him any time round the clock. DPO Rana Ayyaz Saleem made the remarks while talking to a delegation of Senior Working Journalist Forum (SWJF) here at his office the other day.He declared that to tackle the growing crime and improvement in the performance of Police would a challenge for him besides restoring the public image of police and changing the old investigation procedure with modern and scientific methods. He also resolved to equip the police personnel with modern weaponry and training and build their capacity to come up to the public expectations. The DPO categorically declared that there was no room for corruption and black sheep and asked the corrupt cops to either mend ways or start searching jobs for themselves. Ayyaz Saleem also warned that there was no more room negligent officers and officials whosoever exhibited dereliction would have to face the music. The delegation led Senior Working Journalist Forum President Anjum Bashir comprised of Qulzam Bashir Sheikh, Syed Shafqat Ali Shah, Ch Khalid Mehmood, Muhammad Arshad Awan, Manzoor Husain Bhatti, Malik Muhammad Aslam, Ch Muhammad Arshaad and Naseem Uddin Sheikh. On the occasion, DPO Ayyaz Saleem pointed out that he would listen to public complaints and utilise all-out resources to ensure justice, adding that he would himself visit the SDPO Offices of Mian Channu, Kabirwala and Jahanian after every 10 days and organise open courts to bridge the public-police gap and create sense of security among the masses. The DPO maintained that he was determined to make district a "Crime Free Zone" and added that no matter how strong such criminals were, they couldn't escape from the wrath of the Police Department. Records of Complains will be organised by issuing computerized token to the complainants and provide access to people for update about complains. Ayyaz Saleem urged the journalist to pinpoint problems and criminal activities and lend the police a helping hand to materialise the dream of crime free district. He also welcomed positive criticism of the media to improve performance of the police.
