Punjab’s mother uni stealing electricity

Lesco authorities on Monday caught electricity theft at Punjab University. Lesco authorities raided two tube wells of PU on complaint and disconnected meters. Lesco authorities also gave an application to register FIR against the university. According to the PU spokesman the varsity had given its agriculture land on lease and it had nothing to do with it. He said some elements were trying to defame the varsity by negative propaganda.
The raiding took place as the Lesco CEO Muhamamd Saleem on Sunday issued orders to take stringent action against electricity thieves in pursuance of government’s instructions to reduce loadshedding.  Addressing a meeting of company’s officers at Wapda auditorium, the CEO made it very clear that no stone will be left unturned in apprehending electricity thieves, irrespective of their high status or powers, said a statement issued by company.–Staff Reporter
