ISLAMABAD : The power shortfall in the country again surged to 3,000MW as the total generation on Tuesday was recorded as 14,800MW against the demand of 17,800MW at 1400 hours.
According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) the hydel generation stood at 5,700MW, Wapda Thermal 1,940MW, Wind 35MW, Wind 95MW and Independent power producers (IPPs) 7,160MW. The hydel generation has significantly increased owing to more water discharge from both the reservoirs Tarbela and Mangla dams and stood at 5,700MW.
