A blast ripped through a vehicle not far from the largest US military base in Afghanistan on Tuesday, killing the six Afghan civilians including two children inside, the interior ministry told a foreign news agency. It was not immediately clear if the bomb was planted on the road or placed inside the vehicle, interior ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashary told a foreign news agency, accusing insurgents of being behind the attack. "Two men, two women and two children are killed," he said. "The car is totally destroyed." There was no claim of responsibility for the blast, which Bashary said was about five kilometres (three miles) from the US military base attached to the small town of Bagram, 50 kilometres north of Kabul.
