KOHAT (Online) - Six people were killed while 18 others injured in a blast at a bus stop in Tira Bazaar, the centre of garrison town Kohat. According to eyewitness, at the time of explosion, there was immense rush at the bus stop and a motel was partially destroyed in the blast. Emergency has been declared in two main hospitals of the city after the terror strike. Immediately after the blast, the police, relief teams and Rescue 15 started the relief activities after reaching the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to local hospitals. DIG Kohat Muhammad Idrees told a private TV channel that the explosive material weighing 3 to 4 kg was planted in a coach. Commenting on the elements responsible for the carnage, the DIG Kohat said action against militants was underway and they could be involved in the brutal incident, but it was too early and difficult to say anything at the moment. He said there was no particular information about terror attacks in the city. Meanwhile, security has been put on high alert in Kohat after the blast and all the vehicles are being checked thoroughly. PPI adds: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani have strongly condemned the bomb blast at Kohats Tirah bazaar killing innocent people. In their separate messages here Monday, the President and the PM said the perpetrators of such a heinous crime would not be spared and vowed to eliminate terrorism from the country.
