2 girls commit suicide

LAHORE-Two young girls committed suicide over different domestic issues in two different localities in the provincial metropolis on Tuesday. As per details, a 22-year-old Nasira Batool, a resident of Rawalpindi, came to visit his maternal uncle Fida Hussain at Chan Rai Road in Kot Lakhpat police limits some days back. The girl took poisonous pills over some domestic issue late on Monday night. The family also shifted the girl to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead. Later police handed over the body to her heirs. Meanwhile, a 16-year-old girl Sobia, a resident of Railway Colony in Raiwind area, wanted to marry with her paramour but her father namely Maulvi Yaseen refused do so. Police investigators said the girl also eloped alongwith her paramour but her parents brought her back promising to marry her according to her choice. But they forcibly married her with someone against her will, as a result of which the girl committed suicide on Tuesday. Man electrocuted A 35-year-old man, father of three, died due to electric shock in Gulberg police limits on Tuesday. The deceased was later identified as Labha Masih, a resident of Gulberg-3. Police investigators said Labha was restoring the electricity of his home when all of sudden his hand touched the uncovered wire as a result of which he received serious elecric shock. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.
