KARACHI - An associate of international drug mafia was arrested by Customs Drug Enforcement Cell and recovered 4kg heroin here on Tuesday. Pakistan Customs Drug Enforcement Cell, Jinnah International Airport Unit foiled an attempt to smuggle 4kg contrabands heroin out of Pakistan through passenger baggage. According to details, on late Monday night, the Customs Drug Enforcement Cells staff deputed at International Departure Hall intercepted a passenger. The passenger was later identified as Muhammad Tahir Nawaz, son of Raja Haq Nawaz. He belongs to Punjab and holding a Pakistani passport (AM9613051). Scrutiny of this travelling documents revealed that the said passenger was leaving for Barcelona via Abu Dhabi by Etihaad Airlines (EY-222) from Karachi.
