At least eight people were gunned down during the last 12 hours in exchange of firing between two rival groups in Lyari, while the gun battles in many areas is still continues. At least 12 people including a woman have been injured due to the firing. According to police, unidentified gunmen opened fire at a local hotel in Eidolen killing Ali and Saqib Pathan while three including Javed Massai and Ali Nawaz were injured. Following the incident gun battle broke out between rival factions killing six others. Heavy contingent of police and rangers patrolled the affected areas, however firing started again as soon police leave the spot.
