Abdul Rehman likely to represent federation on 18th Amendment case

Former Deputy Attorney General, Raja Abdul Rehman is likely to represent the federation in the 18th Amendment case. A private TV channel while quoting sources said that Raja Abdul Rehman showed his willingness to represent the federation in the case. Federation lawyer Abdul Basit on Tuesday had voluntarily offered his resignation from his contract with the government to plead its case in the Supreme Court, reports said. However according to sources, after Tuesday's court proceedings, Abdul Basit received a call from the Law Ministry, after which, he decided to resign from his position. It may be recalled that Raja Abdul Rehman was Deputy Attorney General in the tenure of Pervez Musharraf and part of the legal team of former Attorney General Malik Qayyum.
