ISLAMABAD (APP) The incoming water in Attabad Lake has risen to 3,000 cusecs, whereas the outpouring from spillways reached to 1,000 cusecs recorded. According to a private news channel, the water discharge from Attabad lake's spillway has been increased from 650 to 1,000 cusecs, whereas water leakage level reached to 350 cusecs. The melting of glaciers pushed up the water level in the lake consistently and incoming of water has risen up to 3,000 cusecs. During the last 24 hours water level in lake has risen to two feet. Due to continuous increasing of water level 60 more houses in Gulmat and Shahskat have been inundated and water entered into one more worship place (Jamaat Khana) in Gulmat. Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah has announced the relief package for the effectives of upper areas of Hunza and announced the free distribution of flour and fees to students of schools and colleges from the govt funds.
