QUETTA - Hundreds of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) workers took out a rally Tuesday to protest against the Israeli attack on an aid flotilla and strongly condemned the killing of the 20 unarmed persons and arrest of journalists and volunteers. The rally, led by Usman Kakar, provincial president of the party, was started originate from the premises of party secretariat which marched through different roads before culminating into a demonstration outside Quetta Press Club. The participants carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans such as Down with Israel and UN should take action against violators of human rights. They were also chanting slogans against Israel and in favour of severing relations with the Zionist state. Addressing the demonstration, Usman Kakar said the attack was a manifestation of worst state terrorism. Crimes of Zionist state against Palestinians have been continuing for last 62 years, he said while regretting that the international community had kept silence over the issue. He criticised the UN, saying the emergency meeting of Security Council would not yield any positive result. The OIC members, which have recognised Israel as a state, should immediately withdraw recognition and declare Israel as a terrorist state, he demanded. Provincial Secretary of PkMAP Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said it was the high time that the Muslim world should get united and gave a tit for tat response to Israel for its atrocities against the innocent Palestinians. He said the Security Council meeting was only aimed at calming down the enraged Muslim world, adding that US President Barrack Obama, who was awarded with Noble Peace Prize, should come forward and play his role to stop Israeli atrocities. Dr Hamid Achakzai said America, the UK and other world powers should take action against the state terrorism of Israel and end its illegal occupation of the Palestinian territory. He called upon the Muslims to contrive unity among their rank and file against the Zionist state and save the innocent Palestinians from its aggression. He termed the silence by international community as a criminal act against the whole humanity.
