CHAKWAL A complete strike was observed here on Tuesday against the publishing of an insulting picture of Muhammad (PBUH) in a book of class one of Fauji Foundation School. The traders community also held a rally in which all the political and religious parties including Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan, Shabab-e-Milli, Jamat-i-Islami and Jamiat Aehl-e-Hadith participated. The rally marched on the various roads of the city and they were demanding immediate arrest of the publisher of said book. The rally was converted in to a big public meeting and it was addressed by Maulana Mehmood-ul-Hassan Ghazanfar, Raja Nazar Hussain, Muhammad Yousaf Mughal, Shahid Abbas, Khalid Hasnain Khalid, Qari Safdar Chisthi, Maulana Abdul Sattar, Mufti Ikram-ul-Haq, Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, Malik Akhtar Nawaz, Muhammad Naveed Haidery and Abdul Ghafoor Minhas. The speakers strongly condemned the act of the publisher and demanded strict action against him. A resolution was also passed unanimously and demanded the immediate removal of Qadiani officials from important posts.
