LAHORE The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment Wednesday sent Deputy Director Gujranwala Development Authority Khadim Hussain on judicial remand. Khadim was arrested red-handed while taking bribe Rs 2.05 million. ACE Gujranwala Inquiry Officer has also summoned GDA Director Tahir Rauf, co-accused, on Thursday (today) for further inquiry. Rana Muhammad Arshad, a local plaza owner, had lodged a complaint with the ACE that GDA officers including Director Tariq Rauf, Deputy Director Planning Khadim Hussain and Assistant Director Tahir Shah were demanding Rs 6 million for the sanction of his plaza. He alleged that he already given Rs 5,50 000 to them as bribe but they were insisting to pay more. ACE Additional DG ordered to take action against guilty officials and Khadim Hussain was caught red handed.
