ISLAMABAD - Ambassador of Peoples Republic of China to Pakistan Lin Jain Wednesday called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shameem Wynne at the Joint Staff Headquarters. According to ISPR, matters of bilateral interest came under discussion. According to sources, they discussed the proposed joint military exercises to be held in Pakistan this year. General Khalid Shameem said Pakistan was proud to have a great friend such as China and was willing to support China on issues concerning Chinas core interests, adding that the relations between the two countries would be strengthened in defence sectors. Chinese ambassador said China had conducted fruitful cooperation with Pakistan in a wide range of areas in recent years, and would continue to support Pakistan in important projects concerning the national economy and peoples livelihood, and promote the common prosperity of both countries. The Chinese ambassador highly acclaimed the sacrifices of Pakistan Army and termed them invaluable in war against terrorism.
