Economic Survey launching today

OUR STAFF REPORTER ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh would launch the Economic Survey of Pakistan for the year 2010-2011 today (Thursday). The Economic Survey 2010-2011 would highlight the overall performance of economy in the ongoing financial year. According to the information, the countrys GDP growth would be around 2.4 per cent against the target of Rs 4.5pc. Apart from GDP growth, the govt has also missed the other targets including fiscal deficit agricultures growth, service sector growth and industrys growth and others during the outgoing financial year. The survey covers the development of all the important sectors, including growth and investment, agriculture, manufacturing, mining, fiscal development, money and credit, capital markets and inflation and debt and liabilities. The survey also highlights the performance of education, health and nutrition. showing the overall population, labour force and employment, poverty, transport and communication.
