During monitoring, 612 teachers were found absent throughout the district while a strict departmental action will be taken against the absent teachers, District Monitoring Officer Abdul Hameed Rehmani told a meeting.On the occasion, District Coordination Officer Imran Sikandar Balouch said that all the steps should be taken to increase enrollment of students and attract them towards education. He added that School Management committee meetings should be held for improving the attendance of students so that attendance could be improved with proper planning. He further said that in schools, promotion of education and School Council Fund should be used correctly.He also reviewed the results of 5th and 8th classes held under the Punjab Education Examination and directed teachers and education officials to improve the results. He directed to ensure the better arrangements for the cleanliness of the schools.Besides, the DCO said Rs229 million is being spent on the construction of 35 kilometer road from Kandaywala Bridge to Derawar Fort while another road will be broadened from Feroza to Head Fareed at a cost of Rs153 million.“Special steps will be taken for the development of Cholistani People. All possible steps should be taken for the cleanliness of traditional Cholistani tobas (rainwater ponds),” said District Coordination Officer Imran Sikandar Balouch during a visit to Cholistan for checking the developmental works.The DCO, who is also Managing Director of the Cholistan Development Authority, said that all possible steps should be taken for the cleanliness of traditional Cholistani tobas so that rain water could be prevented from being wasting. He said that Cholistani population and their cattle will take benefit from the preservation of rainwater. The MD checked the roads being constructed and broadened by Cholistan Development Authority from Feroza to Head Farid, Kandaywala Bridge to Derawar Fort and construction of Veterinary Dispensary Head Farid, Dispensary Derawar Fort, Yand located at Toba Chashma.He said that special steps will be taken for the development of Cholistani People. He directed the officials concerned to make the monitoring of the development projects more effective. In another meeting, he directed education officials to ensure the 100 percent attendance of teachers, staff and students in the schools.
