ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's No 1 tennis player Aqeel Khan lifted the 2nd Islamabad Tennis Complex Professional Tennis League title after defeating Ahmed Chaudhry in the final here at Islamabad Tennis Complex on Saturday. Top national players participated in the professional league including Aqeel Khan, Ahmed Chaudary, Imran Shoukat, Zain Nawab, Mehak Khokar, Syed Nofil Kaleem and Raja Shahid. The tournament was conducted in round robin system. Aqeel and Ahmed emerged on top of their groups after defeating their respective opponents. Aqeel was not in a mood to let Ahmed play his natural game and brushed aside his opponent 6-3, 6-3 to lift the title. The total cash prize was Rs 9000 which was distrusted among the top players by the chief guest former national Davis Cup coach Fazle Subhan. –Staff Reporter
