ISLAMABAD- On the directives of the Supreme Court, the electricity distributing companies including Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) have issued the schedule to carry out equal electricity loadshedding in the country, a private TV channel reported on Saturday night.
Domestic, commercial, industrial and tubewell consumers would have to bear 10 hours of loadshedding. Lesco Chef Engineer Muhammad Saleem told the TV channel that the one-hour power loadshedding would be carried out in alternate hours during the day while in the evening the consumers would get little relief as an hour loadshedding would be carried out after two hours of power supply. The supply of electricity to textile sector would remain suspended from 2pm till midnight. Tubewell consumers would bear power outages from 10pm till 8am, the Lesco chief added. The loadshedding schedule has been issued for Karachi to Peshawar under the directives of the apex court.
