Protest was held as Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan Attock chapter Secretary-General Dawood Mustafai was murdered while three others suffered serious injuries in the indiscriminate firing during a bid to get a grabbed piece of land retrieved at village Pindsultani, about 70 km away from here.The injured persons including Abdul Rauf, brother of Dawood Mustafai, were immediately rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital of Jand where the condition of Abdul Rauf is stated to be critical. As per the initial details, Dawood Mustafai, who was also a candidate for PP 19 Attock seat in the recent general elections, along with his fellows was trying to get a grabbed piece of land of a poor woman retrieved when all of a sudden some unknown assailants appeared on the scene and started indiscriminate firing which resulted in instant death of Dawood while Abdul Rauf, Umer Farooq, Ahmad and another person whose identity could not be ascertained received multiple bullet injuries. The body after postmortem was handed over to his relatives. Later, hundreds of residents of village Pind Sultani and nearby localities threw the vehicles out of gear on the Pindi Kohat road for a many hours. They shouted slogans against the indifference of the Attock police and were demanding immediate arrest of the perpetrators. The protesters alleged that the situation was already in the knowledge of the police and if they had taken an immediate action, sad incident could have been averted.
